YBX3 Series H80–355 IE3 Explosion-Proof Three-Phase Induction Motor

The YBX3 Series Explosion-Proof Three-Phase Induction Motor was developed on the basis of the YB3 series by incorporating updated technologies in electromagnetic design, manufacturing processes and materials used in explosion-proof motors. It is a totally enclosed, self-fan-cooled, high-efficiency three-phase induction motor.
The series is designed with high efficiency, sufficient temperature-rise margin, long service life, stable operating performance, low noise, an optimized explosion-proof structure, reliable operation and convenient maintenance.
The efficiency performance of the YBX3 series complies with the relevant efficiency requirements of GB 18613-2020, Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Small and Medium Three-Phase Asynchronous Motors, and corresponds to the applicable IE3 efficiency level of IEC 60034-30.
Its power ratings and mounting dimensions are designed in accordance with IEC dimensional practices and are compatible with the corresponding YB2 and YB3 series motor configurations. This facilitates integration with export machinery as well as replacement and upgrading of existing equipment.
The YBX3 series also complies with GB 755-2008, Rating and Performance of Rotating Electrical Machines.
Its explosion-proof design is based on the requirements of:
- GB 3836.1-2010 — Explosive Atmospheres, Part 1: Equipment — General Requirements
- GB 3836.2-2010 — Explosive Atmospheres, Part 2: Equipment Protection by Flameproof Enclosures “d”
According to the source documentation, the series is available with explosion-proof classifications including Ex d I Mb and classifications for Group II hazardous gas environments. It is intended for use in underground coal mines outside active mining faces and in industrial hazardous locations where explosive gas mixtures may be present.
For underground coal-mine applications, the corresponding explosion-proof configuration is intended for environments containing methane gas, excluding active excavation and mining faces.
For industrial applications, configurations are intended for hazardous locations containing explosive gas mixtures within the applicable gas groups and temperature classes T1, T2, T3 and T4.
